Deleting your account

This is an English translation of the Turkish original. If you use Espi in a language other than Turkish or English, this English text applies to you. If the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

The fastest way is inside the app: Settings → My data → Delete my account. Your account closes immediately and becomes invisible to everyone; permanent deletion completes after 30 days.

If you have uninstalled the app

If you can’t delete your account from the app, just write to the address below from the email address linked to your account:

[email protected]

Write “Account deletion request” in the subject line and include your Espi username. To confirm that the request is yours, you need to write from your account’s email address; we can’t process requests from other addresses — this stops anyone from having someone else’s account deleted.

Requests are completed within 30 days. We’ll let you know when it’s done.

The records in the right-hand column are kept without being linked to the identity of a deleted account, and only for the legal retention period.

Deleting data without deleting your account

If you want to keep your account but remove your content, you can remove all of it one by one inside the app — no request needed, it happens at once:

A shot: the ⋯ at the top right of the shot → Delete post. All three sizes of the photo are deleted from storage; the place record and likes go with the shot.
A comment: the Delete button under your own comment. The confirmation appears on the same line.
Likes, follows, blocks: pressing the same button again undoes the record.

If you can’t do all of this from the app, write from your account’s email address to [email protected]; put “Data deletion request” in the subject line and say what you want deleted. Requests are completed within 30 days.

Requesting a copy of your data

Espi doesn’t have a one-tap export yet. If you’d like a copy of the data we hold about you, write from your account’s email address to [email protected]; we’ll send it within 30 days.
